Well Shelley Prior was here yesterday doing another wonderful watercolor, I second guessed myself after having chosen this project which was the Forest Path and when only 5 signed up I thought oh well does not appeal to everyone. Well was I surprised when we were doing the painting how different it really was. We used a wood sponge to apply most of the foliage which really was nice and moved the painting along very quickly. It is amazing how techniques used in ceramics many years ago and in faux finishing are also used in watercolor. This just goes to show that it is important to take classes because you learn something new each time, even though already known in another media. Everyone did such a wonderful job, thank you so much to those who came.
Don't forget that I have Kathy Macauley booked to teach the tulips in Colored Pencil on the 24th she is also an amazing teacher and even more amazing artist, this project will involve various techniques again using colored pencil, and pen. If you have not taken a class with Kathy you don't know what you are missing.
